The reason behind Zonnebloem
Rooted in family and built on a shared dream, Zonnebloem is the vision of sisters-in-law Leandra and Rachelle.
What began as a quiet dream to create a space where creativity is recognised as worthy has grown into a shared vital vision. We believe artistic desire is not random — it is part of how God created us.
Together, we have created Zonnebloem as a warm, welcoming community where people of all ages feel safe to explore, grow in courage, and reconnect with their creative soul. This is a space where you can come as you are — without pressure, comparison, or perfection — and discover the joy of creating.
Our heart is not only to nurture artistic skill, but to cultivate belonging, confidence, and purpose. We believe every seed of creativity carries worth, and when it is nurtured, it naturally grows into something that can bless others.
Nothing brings us more joy than watching someone realise:
“My creativity matters. This is part of who I am”

Rachelle
Rachelle is strength and gentleness beautifully woven together. A World Championship kickboxing title-holder and passionate coach, she knows what discipline, courage, and perseverance look like in action. Yet it is her calm, patient, and encouraging nature that truly shapes the spaces she helps create
Whether she’s coaching athletes or guiding pre-teens through art, Rachelle carries a deep belief that people are capable of more than they think. She naturally challenges stereotypes and reminds us that we are never limited to one label.
At Zonnebloem, she brings balance — boldness with softness, structure with play — creating an environment where confidence can grow safely and creativity can flourish.

Leandra
Leandra is a nurturer of both faith and creativity. As a youth pastor, she carries a deep passion for guiding others toward purpose, belonging, and growth. Her love for art therapy and reflective spaces shapes the heart of Zonnebloem — creating moments where creativity becomes a pathway to healing and self-discovery
Drawn to the beauty of the outdoors and endlessly inspired by Van Gogh’s expressive brushstrokes, Leandra finds joy in colour, story, and meaning. She believes creativity is one of the ways God gently speaks to the human heart.
At Zonnebloem, she brings depth and intention — cultivating spaces where reflection meets play, faith meets art, and every person is reminded that their creative desire is both valuable and vital.
